A NEW HOME FOR NEW FACES

10th September 2013

Lightfoot’s expanding team in Singapore has moved home. Previously amidst the hustle and bustle of the riverside CBD, Lightfoot Asia now finds itself in the colourful and historical Kampong Glam conservation area in the heart of the city’s edgy Arab quarter.

Such is the historical significance of the area that Lightfoot’s new Kandahar Street office features on a number of architectural and cultural walking tours. The three storey building is, according to one guidebook, “one of the best representations of the Late Shophouse Style, known for their flamboyant ornamentation, colourful tiles and bas reliefs.”

Lightfoot’s team of interior designers has already started the refurbishment of the office, which will include a design studio and edit suite on the middle floor, a meeting room and sample gallery on the top floor, and a seating area on the sun terrace at the rear of the property, with stunning views of the nearby Masjid Sultan mosque. We look forward to sharing photos of our refurbished home soon.
